One of publisher Team17’s most anticipated titles of 2018 is Planet Alpha, a beautiful looking atmospheric platformer that they agreed to publish earlier this year. Today, they revealed that players will finally be able to get their on on the game across Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One on September 4.
In case you haven’t heard about the game, Planet Alpha is a puzzle-platform that takes place on a colorful world. While the graphics are low-poly, the game still ends up looking pretty striking. In addition to the typical platforming one expects from this type of game, Planet Alpha also lets players take control of the time of day at certain sections of the game for some interesting puzzles.
Development on Planet Alpha actually started by Adrian Lazar five years ago while he was at IO Interactive working on titles like Hitman: Absolution and Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days, and he’ll finally see his work pay off in just over a month. A new trailer was also released to herald in the release date, though it mainly focuses on the enemies players will face during their journey.
