Persona 5 The Stage Performance Returning October 2020 for Second Run

With the first Persona 5 The Stage closing out its initial run, a new teaser trailer reveals that the popular stage play will be making its return starting in October 2020 in both in Yokohama and Osaka:

Actor Yoshihide Sasaki (playing the role of Goro Akechi) previously discussed performing in the smaller scope of his first role in order to pave the way for his bigger role in the sequel. The cast for the next set of performances has been announced (and are assumed to be reprising their roles):

Hiroki Ino (Hero)
Kouhei Shiota (Ryuji Sakamoto)
Yuki Odera (Ann Takamaki)
Koji Kominami (Yusuke Kitagawa)
Yoshihide Sasaki (Goro Akechi)

The first set of performances ran in Osaka from December 13th to December 15th and then in Tokyo from December 19th to December 29th, which covered the first two arcs of Persona 5.

In the final Morgana’s Report stream Atlus revealed brand new info on Persona 5 Royal. We got to see the new My Palace mode which we detailed here, as well as Persona 5 Royal’s DLC which will include boss fights against Persona 3 and Persona 4′s protagonists. These battles will be available via the new Challenge Battle mode we previously explained. You can check out some live gameplay of said mode here.

Atlus also revealed the third full-length trailer for Persona 5 Royal, in which all of the party members get a new introduction trailerJokerKasumiRyuji, Ann, Yusuke, Makoto. Futaba, Haru, and Morgana. Goro’s trailer was shown during the game’s first live stream, where Atlus most notably talked about streaming restrictions. There’s another new trailer featuring Challenge Battles, new events, and the Fusion Alarm system.

Persona 5 Royal will also have a few various editions that fans can purchase. The Steelbook Launch Edition is pretty much exactly what it sounds like and comes with a nice-looking steelbook case for the game.

The Phantom Thieves Edition on the other hand, will set you back a bit more money but also comes with an art book, a CD containing the soundtrack, a dynamic PS4 theme, a collector’s case, and the mask that Persona 5’s protagonist Joker wears in the game. It also includes the same steelbook case from the launch edition.

PS4 exclusive Persona 5 Royal launches on October 31st in Japan and officially on March 31st, 2020 in the West. That title has so far hit the 400,000 units sold milestone in Japan, while the original Persona 5 hit 3.2 million units sold worldwide.
