Atlus held on November 29 a new stream for Persona 5 Scramble, revealing new live gameplay for the game. We got to see Yusuke aka Fox in battle, some daily life exploration in Sendai, and more battle gameplay in the Shibuya Jail. You can find the gameplay videos below, courtesy of Persona Central. The stream was region-locked and I didn’t feel like recording it myself.
Judging from the size of Sendai’s map, the maps of each city don’t seem to be that big, but it has tons of small things to do. I personally love the feeling of Persona 5‘s locations, which are pretty small in the end but packed with a lot of details. It’s not like you need to be open world and huge to be good.
Another cool thing we saw during the gameplay is how the Phantom Thieves are still doing the hideout thing, which is now the camping car they’re using to travel all over Japan. Small details like this really show Persona 5 Scramble is a proper sequel.
Atlus detailed earlier this week more of the new characters in Persona 5 Scramble, most notably a Yoko Hikasa-voiced character named Kuon Ichinose. New story details were shared too. We covered all that.
The previous Persona 5 Scramble trailers focused on Joker and the Velvet Room, on Sophia/Sophie, on Ryuji, on Morgana, and on Anne. You can read more story details here and more Persona 5 Scramble gameplay here. We also covered an interview with the game’s staff from Famitsu.
Persona 5 Scramble The Phantom Strikers is coming to PS4 and Switch and launches on February 20 in Japan. An announcement for the west will definitely happen at some point.
