Atlus is still regularly releasing new trailers for Persona 5 Scramble The Phantom Strikers, the action RPG developed by Omega Force, coming to PS4 and Switch. We have one trailer focusing on Haru, another one focusing on Makoto, and a lot of new gameplay footage.
The first trailer we have focuses on Haru Okumura aka Noir, voiced by Haruka Tomatsu. Haru introduces herself to new character Sophia and chats about how she’s now in university and helping with her family’s business. We can also hear Haru and Makoto explain to Sophia how the Phantom Thieves aren’t actually killing people by stealing their hearts, only reforming them. The final scene of the trailer is comedic as always, with new character Zenkichi being astonished by how Haru doesn’t feel that embarrassed to use “Beautiful Thief” as a nickname. Though she is indeed beautiful. I still remember the days back when the fourth Persona 5 trailer revealed Haru and some were nicknaming her “Adieu”, not realizing it means goodbye in french and it wasn’t her signature.
We detailed new characters Zenkichi and Sophia in a past article.
The second trailer we have focuses on Makoto Niijima aka Queen, voiced by Rina Sato. We see part of the same scene as in Haru’s trailer, with Makoto introducing herself to Sophia. Futaba teases Makoto about how she’d use her Fist of Justice while fighting enemies back in the days, but Makoto says she’s over it now. But then she does say it at the end of the trailer when using her Showtime attack. We also hear Makoto worrying about eating too much during the road trip, with Ryuji mentioning she should gain weight to make her punches stronger. Makoto retorts she should test it out on him. The final scene has the Phantom Thieves in a dark, scary place, triggering Makoto’s fear of the supernatural, and mimicking that one scene when they first met Futaba.
Atlus also published another short Persona 5 Scramble gameplay sequence on Twitter, with Haru and Makoto chatting about their respective lives as university students. Haru is explaining how she’s studying both in the department of management and the department of agriculture.
