Atlus, Koei Tecmo and Omega Force might be teasing a DLC sequel scenario for Persona 5 Scramble. On the official Persona series Twitter, August 25, Morgana shared two tweets that may be hinting at such:
…ネコじゃねーよ
— モルガナ_ペルソナ広報 (@p_kouhou) August 25, 2020
Here’s a translation of the tweets:
Morgana: “Hey, are you ready? I’m sure she’ll be happy~. Reminds me of when we first met in the Jail. Huh? A Tanuki…? I’m a cat! … Wait I’m not a cat!!”
The tweets references one of the first scenes with Sophia in Persona 5 Scramble. When she first meets Joker, Ryuji and Morgana in the Jail (the new other world), she initially believes Morgana is a Tanuki.
Meaning Morgana in these tweets is having a discussion with Joker about Sophia, after the game’s events. So this could possibly be teasing a DLC scenario sequel.
Persona 5 Scramble The Phantom Strikers released in Japan on PS4, Switch, on February 20. The game was announced in the west through Koei Tecmo’s latest financials. However, a public and majestic announcement with a trailer and everything hasn’t happened yet.
As someone who played Persona 5 Scramble in Japanese, I can say it’s definitely a great game and a great sequel to the original game. If you played the original Persona 5, It’s definitely a must-grab. It’s also important to note Persona 5 Scramble isn’t a Musou game. It uses dungeons rather than maps where you need to defeat generals and take control of strategical spots. The Phantom Thieves themes, the sneakiness and suaveness of the original, are perfectly translated to an Action system too. The weakness-based battle system as well. Besides how the combo pattern schemes follows Musou game, it’s pretty different than one overall.
