Overwatch Anniversary event in 2021 celebrates the game’s release date five years after its launch back in 2016 with a brand new Legendary Overwatch Baptiste skin.
Since its first year of launch, Overwatch has been largely expanded in the case of content. The game was released with 21 playable heroes and it now has 32 characters available on the roster.

Over the five years, the developers introduced various new maps, limited-time modes, and a role-based matchmaking system. All the changes made Overwatch a better experience than before, and probably that’s the reason why the game still has a huge community of active players.
Despite all the controversies over the Overwatch loot boxes, Blizzard never removed these in-game random boxes from the game. You can still spend a lot of money on loot boxes that you don’t know what could deliver to you.
Probably the game’s large diversity of skins, sprays, and voice-lines have tempted many players to spend on loot boxes over all these five years. And that’s the reason why Blizzard brings in more unique and Legendary outfits every now and then for its beloved heroes.
Overwatch Funky Baptiste Skin for Anniversary Event
Along with announcing the Anniversary 2021 event, which is set to begin on May 18, Blizzard also teased a new Legendary Baptiste skin in a new teaser trailer.
The new skin gives a retro look to the Latin healer, which could definitely trigger the hero’s fans for spending some cash on his new outfit. Below, you can check it out:
This year’s Anniversary event will be closed by June 8, 2021. Aside from the Baptiste skin, Blizzard will also bring back some of the favorite Anniversary skins for other heroes from the previous years. The full list of skins will be shared once the event goes live tomorrow.
Overwatch is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
