Modus Games is a fairly new publisher, releasing its first title, Extinction, back in April. The publisher has announced its second title, Override: Mech City Brawl, which will release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on December 4.
If you couldn’t tell from the title, Override: Mech City Brawl is a 3D mecha fighting game developed by The Balance Inc.. In total, the game will include 12 unique mechs for players to controls, and maps scattered around the world in places like Egypt, Japan, Mexico, and San Francisco. After a battle, player will unlock new accessories, which can then be equipped in The Garage.
The game also features a variety of different modes not found in many brawlers like this. Outside of the single player campaign, players can participate in 1v1 and 2v2 fights, a 4-player free for all, and an interesting co-op mode where each player controls a different limb of the mech. For those of you who want to try out the game early, a Closed Beta is taking place between August 10 and August 12, and you can sign up on the game’s website.
You can check out the game’s first screenshots and announcement trailer below. Override: Mech City Brawl is currently poised to hit PC, PS4, and Xbox One on December 4, and the physical version, which comes with the game’s Season Pass, can already be pre-ordered on Amazon.
