Bandai Namco announced through a new trailer the Japanese release date for One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4: March 26, 2020. The rest of the world doesn’t have its release date yet, but it’s highly likely a worldwide launch will be confirmed in the next few hours.
One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 is coming to PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch. Each console has its own differences when it comes to bonus costumes in Japan, and this will probably work the same in the west.
Players grabbing either the physical or digital version for PS4 or Switch will get Wano Country Arc costumes for Zoro and Sanji Soba Mask. Meanwhile, the Wano Country Arc costume for Nami will only be in digital versions.
Players who get the digital version of One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 on Xbox One will get the three costumes from above plus a bunch more. This might only be true for Japan though as the game won’t have an Xbox One physical version there.
All players on any version will get the Wano Country arc Luffy costume.
Lastly, Bandai Namco published a table retracing the technical differences between the PS4, Switch, and Xbox One versions of the game:
On PS4, the game runs in 1080P and in 2160P on PS4 pro. Next, it’s in 900P on Switch in TV mode, and on 540P in portable. As for Xbox One, the game runs in 900P and in 2160P on Xbox One X.
The final box art for the game was also revealed, along with a bunch of new screenshots. Everything is included below along with the trailer. This is the first One Piece Musou game in four years now, and what we’ve seen of it so far makes it like a good contender for being the best One Piece game we recently had.
