PQube Games announced last year that they would be releasing D3 Publisher’sdungeon crawler Omega Labyrinth Z in the West on both PS4 and PS Vita in Spring 2018. Unfortunately, the game ran into trouble with several ratings boards around the world as they claimed it “promotes the sexualization of children,” so Omega Labyrinth Z’s western release missed the previously promised release window.
Today, PQube confirmed that the western release of Omega Labyrinth Z has been canceled. According to a statement released by the company today, they had been working with age rating bodies and the platform holder to get Omega Labyrinth Z released on PS4 and PS Vita, but ultimately couldn’t release the game in a state that was as close to the source material as they wanted. You can read their full statement below:
PQube strives to release Japanese content for its fans as close to the source material as possible. In the case of Omega Labyrinth Z, while PQube has worked with all relevant age rating bodies in their respective territories, PQube must respectfully comply with the wishes of the platform holder and have therefore withdrawn any future plans for Omega Labyrinth Z’s European and North American release on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
PQube also took to Twitter in order to confirm that the cancellation is permanent, and that they will not be commenting any further on the cancellation of Omega Labyrinth Z.
Please see below the statement on the situation of #OmegaLabyrinthZ in the West. It is with sadness that we announce that the game is cancelled on both platforms and all Western regions permanently. We will not comment further on this matter. Thank you for your support. pic.twitter.com/ePmmiWSTAY

For those of you who don’t know, Omega Labyrinth Z is a dungeon crawler that involves a group of girls on a quest to find a holy grail that grants any wish. That being said, each wish makes their breats grow bigger. There are also various mini-games centered around touching the girls, which is what caused the most contention with rating boards. That being said, the game still features deep and interesting RPG systems on top of the sexual content.
While Omega Labyrinth Z is not coming West, you can still pick up the game in Japan for both PS4 and PS Vita. If you want to create a Japanese PSN account in order to play the game, you can check out DualShockers’ guide for doing so.
