Oddworld Inhabitants has announced on Twitter that Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath will be coming to the Nintendo Switch. While no release date was announced the game will be playable at EGX in Birmingham next week. There is also a Nintendo Direct scheduled for tomorrow to showcase upcoming 3DS and Switch games, so we may get a release date then.
Separated from the other Oddworld games, Stranger’s Wrath is more shooter than platformer and is remembered fondly for using live ammo of critters that you would pick up while traveling the world.
Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath originally released on the Xbox in 2005 and was later ported to PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, iOS, Android, and Ouya. Oddworld Inhabitants is currently working on a new game set in the Oddworld universe named Soulstorm and is a retelling of Abe’s Exoddus. Their latest release was New ‘n’ Tasty! a remake of their very first game, Abe’s Oddysee.
