The Nintendo Switch has proven to be a popular console since it released back in March, and while the system has been fairly hard to find since launch, those still looking for a Switch will have a new opportunity to grab one in September alongside one of the system’s most recent titles, Splatoon 2.
Nintendo has announced that a new Nintendo Switch bundle featuring Splatoon 2 is set to arrive in North America on September 8th, 2017, with the new bundle package to be exclusive to North American Walmart retail stores, and coming right after the game’s second Splatfest event.
Specifically, the bundle will include a standard Nintendo Switch console and Joy-Con group, while featuring the pink and green Joy-Con themed after Splatoon 2. Along with the console, the bundle will include a digital copy of Splatoon 2 and a Splatoon-themed carrying case for taking the Switch on-the-go. In total, the bundle will retail for $379.99, marking an $80 increase compared to the standard Switch SKU.
Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing Doug Bowser mentioned in a statement that “Consumers in Japan and Europe have already had a strong response to Splatoon 2 bundles in their territories,” adding that “this exclusive Walmart bundle gives people who have been waiting to buy a Nintendo Switch a great value and incentive to get splatting.”
The Splatoon 2-themed Nintendo Switch bundle will arrive in stores on September 8th, 2017, while Splatoon 2 on its own is available now.
