Today The Pokémon Company and Nintendo revealed a new trailer of the upcoming fighting game Pokkén Tournament DX.
The trailer features one of the Pokémon that will be playable in the game,Lucario. Which incidentally is one of the few that retains its Japanese name.
Pokkén Tournament DX is a new remaster developed for the Nintendo Switch of Pokkén Tournament for Wii U. It’s developed by Bandai Namco with fighting game maestro Katsuhiro Harada at the helm. The original version released in Japanese arcades first in 2015, followed by the Wii U version less than a year later in March 2016.
Switch remasters have done well with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and not-so-well with Monster Hunter XX. It’ll be certainly interesting to see if Pokkén Tournament DX will follow Mario’s path to be a million seller.
The game will launch exclusively on Nintendo Switch on September 22nd, and you can take a look at Lucario in action in the trailer below.
