With only about six weeks left until E3 2019, the show is starting to come a bit more into view. As of this writing, most companies that will be participating at E3 such as Bethesda, Microsoft, and Ubisoft have started to reveal plans for the press events that they will be holding in Los Angeles.

Of those also attending E3, Nintendo remains one of the only major publishers that has yet to announce an official date and time for its typical presentation. That said, while official times have yet to be divulged, the company did recently give an idea of what to expect this year at E3 2019.

At the end of Nintendo’s recent financial call, it was said that a video presentation, much like in years past, will be how Nintendo opts to talk about upcoming products. It was also specified that during this showing, the company will be focusing on games that are launching within the current fiscal year. This means games that will be launching before the end of March 31, 2020.

“Once again, Nintendo will not be hosting a large-scale conference for institutional investors, securities analysts, and the media. Instead, we plan to continue our practice of the past few years, which is to release a video presentation discussing the games that are planned for release during the fiscal year, provide hands-on opportunities, and so on,” Nintendo stated.

This news isn’t a huge surprise considering Nintendo has opted as of late to focus more on the immediate future rather than games coming far down the pipeline. While in the past we have seen teasers for games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild years in advance of their eventual release, it seems this is no longer a practice Nintendo is wanting to continue.

Then again, when Nintendo has a Switch lineup in 2019 that includes releases like Fire Emblem: Three HousesAnimal CrossingLuigi’s Mansion 3, and Pokemon Sword and Shield, there’s really no reason to look far into the future. If you were hoping to get your next look at an unannounced project from Nintendo that will be releasing at some point in the coming years, it’s probably best to dash those hopes now.

We’ll likely hear more specifics about the date and time for Nintendo’s E3 2019 video presentation very soon. If it’s anything like past years, expect the stream to take place on the Tuesday of E3 week, which this year would fall on June 11.
