If you’ve been waiting to find out just what the upcoming Splatoon 2 Octoling 3-pack Amiibo set would bring to the table in terms of in-game content, you’ll be happy to know that Nintendo has released a short showcase video featuring three new character outfits.
The set was originally revealed back in July and will feature an Octoling Boy, Octoling Girl, and a cheeky Octoling in octopus form. Each character in the set shares a cool pink and black colour scheme which makes them instantly recognizable.
When used with Splatoon 2 on Nintendo Switch these Amiibos will unlock in-game gear for each of the three characters. The Octoling Boy will allow you access to a suit of armour, while the Octoling Girl grants the player a classic witch’s outfit. Lastly, the Octoling in octopus form gives the player a carnival mascot outfit. Although it’s shown holding a set of balloons in the video, the balloons are not actually included in the package. The pink and black colour scheme is still prevalent throughout all three of these new costumes.
Splatoon 2 is available now exclusively on Nintendo Switch. The Splatoon 2 Octoling 3-pack Amiibo set will be available on December 7 this year, although the outfits have more in common with the game’s Splatoween theme than they would have with anything that would be associated with December. It can be pre-ordered now from Amazon.
