If you haven’t gotten in on that sweet ARMS action yet, Nintendo is giving you another opportunity to do so this weekend.
From now until April 2, ARMS is free to download off of the Nintendo eShop for Switch. Much like last year ahead of the game’s release, this Global Testpunch as it’s called allows you to test the game our for yourself and take to the online arena to compete against others.
There’s really no need for Nintendo to still do these Global Testpunch events with ARMS having been out for almost a year, but it certainly shows that they’re still dedicated to making the game grow. Their dedication to ARMS is further exemplified by the open tournament that was held earlier this month in the US and Canada where the top eight players would be able to qualify for the finals, which just so happen to be taking place today.
It’s nice to see Nintendo staying so dedicated to one of their newest IPs. Hopefully, they continue to support any new titles that they might release this generation in the same manner. If you are still on the fence about jumping into ARMS for yourself, be sure to check out our review from when the game released last year.
