While people are drawn most to the smattering of Nintendo Directs that happen throughout any given year, Nintendo also does their fair share of indie presentations. The most recent Indie World Showcase took place in August, but today we learned that another one is coming tomorrow, December 10. Nintendo says that Indie World will cover “roughly 20 minutes of information on some upcoming indie games for Nintendo Switch, and will take place at 1pm ET tomorrow.”
Tune in tomorrow, Dec. 10 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET for a new #IndieWorld Showcase livestream featuring roughly 20 minutes of information on some upcoming indie games for #NintendoSwitch!

Currently, no games have been confirmed for the showcase; that being said, they usually contain some nice surprises, like the stealth release of Blaster Master Zero 2 earlier this year. What is most interesting about this Indie World is that it is coming just a couple of hours after PlayStation’s last State of Play for 2019. Sony’s presentations typically are made up of mostly indie games outside of the occasional big hitter. As such, holding an Indie World on the same day is a pretty witty move for Nintendo and still shows that some competition exists between the two console manufacturers.
Both Nintendo’s Indie World and Sony’s State of Play will help kick off what may be a busy week for games. The Game Awards take place this Thursday and will come with its own fair share of new announcements; in fact, Geoff Keighley claims none of them have leaked yet. Of course, you can expect DualShockers to cover all three events and let you know about the biggest and best news to come from them.
