Today Tokyo-based developer Colopl announced a new game of the White Cat Project series, with the code name “Shironeko New Project” (“Shironeko” means “White Cat”).
At the moment nothing is known about the game besides the fact that it’ll be an action RPG for the Nintendo Switch, and it’ll be released in 2020.
If you’re not familiar with the names White Cat Project or Shironeko Project, you may know the franchise with its much more forgettable English name, Rune Story. The original game is a hack-and-slash action JRPG for iOS and Android, and it appears that Colopl is ready to jump on consoles.
We also got a teaser trailer, showing a rather fascinating premise, with a giant artificial whale taking off from a charming environment.
You can check out the teaser below, and see if you find it interesting because I definitely do. We don’t know when we’ll hear more, but I’m certainly rather excited about it. Besides, it’s always good to see a mobile franchise making the jump to mobile.
