Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launched in December 2018 to rave reviews and a Metacritic score of 93. More recently, the game received a game of the year nomination for this year’s The Game Awards. It’ll be up against Control, Death Stranding, Resident Evil 2, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Additionally, update 6.0.0 for Smash Bros. Ultimate is out now which includes compatibility for DLC fighter Terry Bogard, new music, Spirits, outfits, and more. With it being almost a year since the game released, it may not be surprising if we get a new DLC character announcement during The Game Awards which air on December 12.
As for Resident Evil, the remake of Resident Evil 2 launched back in January and it’s gone onto to be one of Capcom’s most successful titles this year alongside Monster Hunter World and Devil May Cry 5. Additionally, rumors have surfaced of a Resident Evil 3: Nemesis remake launching on current-generation consoles sometime in 2o20.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available now on Nintendo Switch. If you’re looking to play some Resident Evil, the Resident Evil 2 remake is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. As more news about new Spirits coming to Smash Bros. Ultimate, we’ll be sure to let you know.
