If you’re a big Crash Bandicoot fan the last few weeks have been very kind to you. First of all Activision and Toys for Bob announced Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time then today we got the reveal of Crash Bandicoot: On the Run.
Crash Bandicoot: On the Run. is an endless runner being developed for iOS and Android by King. The company purchased by Activision Blizzard in 2016 has a serious pedigree within the mobile games industry. They’re best known for the Saga series of games including the blockbuster hit Candy Crush Saga, so as far as mobile games go, this is in good hands.
The game is being billed as a “New Crash Adventure” in which “Dr. Neo Cortex has dispatched iconic villains across the multiverse to take control of all dimensions. With the help of his sister Coco, Crash must bash Cortex’s minions back to their own dimensions!”. The game is confirmed to have both single and multiplayer modes.

Alongside Crash, Coco and Dr. Neo Cortex, a cast of classic enemies and bosses are confirmed to be returning including Scorporilla and Nitrus Brio. These go alongside some levels from the original games like Turtle Woods, Lost City and Temple Ruins.
The game is available to pre-register for now on both the iOS app store and the Google Play store. It’s been confirmed that anybody who does pre-register will receive an exclusive blue hyena skin at launch. The inclusion of this skin however does hint that there will be micro-transactions when the game is released, surprising nobody. This is unlike the next mainline Crash though, which was confirmed last month to have no micro-transactions within the game. Check back here for more Crash Bandicoot news as it’s revealed.
