NBA 2K21 current-gen cover boy Damian Lillard is pulling double-duty this year. Not only is he a major player in the on-court action, but he’s also joining the game’s soundtrack with two unreleased tracks. One of the game’s marquee guards, Lillard is also a successful recording artist. So, it makes sense for him to drop some new songs for the upcoming basketball sim. Of course, Dame D.O.L.L.A. is far from the only act in the game. Fans can expect plenty of other big-name acts like The Weeknd, Travis Scott, and more.

The NBA 2K team has always put a priority on curating a solid soundtrack. In the past, they’ve even gone so far as to bring in names like Lebron James, Pharrell Williams, and Imagine Dragons to put together the setlist. This year doesn’t appear to have a big name collecting the tracks, but it is a solid list.
Current-gen players will enjoy a 52-song soundtrack, complete with those two unreleased tracks from Lillard. Once the jump to next-gen is available, the listing explodes to 202 tracks at launch. I guess if they’re going to use the SSD for something, it might as well be more songs. Jokes aside, that’s a massive soundtrack, that should ensure you’re not hearing the same songs over and over again.
Fortunately, if you just can’t wait, the full current-gen soundtrack is on Spotify as I type. Again, once the next-gen version launches, that soundtrack goes to Spotify as well. So, if you just want to listen, look for it there in the coming months.
NBA 2k21 drops on September 4 for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One. The next-gen version will likely release alongside the two new consoles.
