While coming with the usual updates and changes that we expect from sports titles each year, the upcoming NBA 2K18 will seek to provide a more social experience when it comes to its basketball simulations thanks to its new Neighborhood feature, with a new trailer (and free demo) coming later this week to show off the new features in full.
Publisher 2K Sports has announced that “The Prelude,” the free demo for NBA 2K18, will release for PS4 and Xbox One owners on Friday, September 8th, 2017 at 12am ET to provide fans with an early taste of this year’s upcoming title and to show off a few of the game’s upcoming new features. As an added bonus, players’ progress in The Prelude will also carry over into the full game when it releases later this month.
Specifically, the demo itself will provide a closer look at The Neighborhood, which will provide players with a new open-world style environment to interact with other players both on and off the court, and for players to “truly experience the life of an NBA athlete.”
NBA 2K18 will release for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch, and PC on September 19th, 2017 – for a closer look at the game’s “Prelude” demo, you can check out the new trailer for it below and pick up the demo for free when it releases this Friday for PS4 and Xbox One.
