We thought that the beautiful “Rathalos Edition” PS4 Pro that was released in Japan in December would be exclusive to the archipelago of the rising sun, and would never come west, but we were wrong.
At least French fans are getting a chance to grab one, as the console will be released in the country as an exclusive to the retailer Micromania.

Don’t get fooled by the 99€ mention in the video, as the console costs €450 including the controller and the game. The 99€ is what you have to pay if you sell back your “old” Xbox One X while turning in a PS4 Pro will see you pay €149.99.
At the moment, there is no news on the console being released in other western countries, but at least it’s good news for those living in France, and a glimmer of hope for everyone else.
When it launched in Japan, the Rathalos Edition sold 33,000 units in a week, despite having hit the shelves over a month before the game. If you want to see more of what it looks like, you can check out some official pictures, and more images of the real thing that I shot myself at Tokyo Game Show.
Recently, Capcom announced that the DualShock 4 controller that came with the console will also be sold separately, but for now, this is only for Japan.
Monster Hunter World will release worldwide on January 26th, for PS4 and Xbox One, with a PC version coming this fall.
