Capcom is releasing another entry into the Monster Hunter series in just a couple of months with Monster Hunter Rise on the Nintendo Switch. To whet the appetite, Capcom has released a demo for players to get familiar with before the launch of the game in March. With the demo in players’ hands, we have now seen what specifications we will be working with.
VG Tech (via Nintendo Life), took a closer look at the latest entry into the series and they can confirm that the demo runs at a stable 30 FPS, even during more demanding sections of the game. This is both in docked and handheld mode.
As for the resolution, you won’t be blown away. In docked mode, VG Tech reported that the game renders at a resolution of 1344×756 with the UI rendering at 1920×1080. While in portable mode, the games renders at 960×540 and the UI renders at 1280×720.
We all know that the Nintendo Switch is nothing close to a technical powerhouse. So, these specs shouldn’t be too much of a disappointment.
It should also be noted that these findings were from the demo of Monster Hunter Rise, not the official release. Since the game is still a couple of months away, it is totally possible that these could change at some point.
Monster Hunter Rise is set to release on March 26 for the Nintendo Switch. Make sure to check out DualShockers’ preview of the demo for more information on the game.
