Since its release last fall, Monolith Productions’ Middle-earth: Shadow of War has given players the chance to experience an epic story set in the immersive fantasy world of J.R.R. Tolkien, and now those that missed out on the game the first time around will get another chance with everything that the action-RPG has to offer.
Publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced that Middle-earth: Shadow of War – Definitive Edition will be arriving for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on August 28th, 2018, with the new release of the game to include all of its post-release content, updates, and more.
Specifically, Warner Bros. stated that the “Definitive Edition” will include the main game along with everything released in the game’s Expansion Pass, including the “Slaughter Tribe” and “Outlaw Tribe” Nemesis Expansions, the “Blade of Galadriel” and “Desolation of Mordor” Story Expansions, and more.
In addition to the Expansion Pass content, the “Definitive Edition” will also feature all of the post-release updates, improvements, and patches that the game has received since its launch, including the recent removal of the game’s microtransaction systems and its reworked epilogue and endgame content.
Middle-earth: Shadow of War is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, with the “Definitive Edition” to arrive on August 28th, 2018.
