Microsoft revealed today on Xbox Wire that seven more games will be added to the Xbox Game Pass’s 100+ game lineup on November 1. This includes Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, though that title will only be part of the program until January 31 of next year. The other five titles seem like they will stay part of the program indefinitely.
The seven new titles that are coming to the Xbox Game Pass are:
- Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (until January 31, 2015)
- Halo Wars: Definitive Edition
- Resident Evil HD
- Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty
- The World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap
- Mega Man 9
- Sky Force Anniversary
As someone who has played six of those titles (sorry Sky Force Anniversary), I can say that this is a really solid lineup of good games for those who own Xbox Game Pass. It is interesting to see that some titles, like Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, may only be part of the program for a limited time, but it makes sense when you consider that it is a Netflix-like service.
Xbox Game Pass launched back in June as a Netflix-esque game program, giving Xbox One owners access to tons of games like Halo 5 each month, with the developers promising to add at least five every month. The Xbox Game Pass is only $9.99 a month, with new games being added to the program every month. These seven games will be available through the program on November 1.
