While there has definitely been some discussion across the Internet on whether or not Media Molecule’s long-awaited Dreams can live up to Sony’s expectations after such a long development cycle, the game (or engine?) is definitely impressive based on what we’ve seen from it thus far.
To celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the studios’ hit PlayStation 3 title Little Big Planet, they recreated a level from the game. It’s actually really shocking how perfectly it resembles the original title. You can see the video down below:
#LittleBigPlanet turned 10, so we paid homage to it in #DreamsPS4! 🥳

Dreams was revealed to the world during Sony’s E3 press conference way back in 2015. The game was first mentioned way back at Gamescom in 2012 where the studio said they were working on two titles at the time, one of which was the PS Vita game Tearaway.
It’s been a long road for Dreams and while it’s far from what players might expect from a first party studio, it’s definitely one of, if not the PS4’s most unique original IP. The game currently has no set release date, but as of right now it’s expected to come out exclusively on PS4 in 2019. Public betas have been announced time and time again only to be pushed back or never to be heard about again, so we’ll be sure to update you on them once we get a concrete date.
