If there’s an iconic landmark or structure, fictional or otherwise, there’s a good chance that it has been recreated in LEGO form. Whether this creation stems directly from the LEGO Group itself or someone in the community, fans Now, this rule has proven to be true once again in regards to one beloved video game property.
As posted recently over on the Mass Effect subreddit, one user, who goes by the name SonOfRevvan, posted their own recent creation of one of the most recognizable ships from the sci-fi franchise. The Normandy SR-2, the ship seen in Mass Effect 2, has now been fully realized in LEGO form, and it’s pretty dang unreal. The creator says that the ship’s model is comprised of thousands of different LEGO pieces and stands at nearly 4 feet long in total. Yes, you read that correctly.
What’s perhaps most wild about this model is that it doesn’t just look great on the outside, but it has been fully fleshed out inside as well. The interior of this LEGO Normandy model resembles the same interior that you would see straight out of Mass Effect 2. It even comes complete with the galactic map computer that you can interact with in the game. There’s even a custom LEGO assault rifle from Mass Effect attached to one of the back walls of the Normandy.
As an aside, do you ever wonder how people get so good at building LEGO models like this? Heck, I struggled as a kid at times putting together certain kits even with the instructions right in front of me. But to build something like this? And do it from scratch? That just blows my mind. Kudos to you, my friend, for putting this together.
