The Malvento Overwatch map has been added to the game’s PTR servers last night without any notification from Blizzard, which is weird.
It’s been a long time since Overwatch received a new map for its Deathmatch mode. The last map was Kanezaka, which didn’t receive a warm welcome from the community.

While no official details are available for Malvento, it’s now available in the Public Test Region servers adn you can give it a whirl if you have the PTR versio of the game installed on your PC.
What is the Malvento Overwatch Map?
Set in Italy, Malvento is a free-for-all Deathmatch map. The map features mostly outdoor areas, including narrow and open spaces. You will always need to keep an eye out for where you put your next step as the map is on the edge of a sea, and if you won’t be careful enough, you might cost yourself an easy death.
Since Blizzard has not reacted to the map’s release on the PTR servers, it remains as a mystery that when you could expect it to launch on the main servers of the game.
Regarding Blizzard’s involvement in a heavy lawsuit about the Frat Boy culture in the studio recently, it’s being assumed that the developer tries to stay away from social media for the time being.
While Blizzard continues to add more content to Overwatch, a second team in the studio is working on Overwatch 2. The sequel was supposed to launch in 2022, but with Jeff Kaplan’s departure from the development team, it won’t be available next year anymore.
Overwatch is now available on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. You can play it on PS5 or Xbox Series X|S through the Backward Compatibility feature.
