Each year, football fans look forward to the newest entry of EA’s Madden NFL series. Today, the publisher gave us our first look at Madden NFL 19, which will release on PS4 and Xbox One on August 10.
Madden NFL 19 is once again developed by EA Tiburon, and uses the Real Player Motion Technology heralded by EA Sports UFC 3 to allow for better animation and more precision in the game’s controls.
In addition to now being able to change and develop players, both Franchise and Ultimate Team have been reworked for Madden NFL 19. Franchise mode will now let players choose between both offensive and defensive schemes, which works with a new progression system for coaches. A Custom Draft Class Creator is also being introduced this year, so players can use both old and new players in Franchise mode.
Meanwhile, Ultimate Team has received new training tools, and allows players develop their favorites with new player upgrades. MUT Solo Battles have also been added, which let players test their hand at challenges to get on a leaderboard.
Carlos Guerrero, a Senior Producer of Madden NFL 19, commented on what players can expect from this year’s Madden:
“We’ve worked directly with community members on Madden NFL 19 to make a deeper, more immersive football game that gives players what they want – more choice, more control, and key enhancements to fan-favorite modes. Real Player Motion technology combined with all new franchise-building tools like Positional Archetypes and the return of Custom Draft Classes are features that football fans will find fun and engaging. Madden NFL 19 steps up the authentic football experience in so many ways.”
While EA still hasn’t revealed the standard box art, they did showcase the Madden NFL 19 Hall of Fame Edition, which features 2018 Pro Football Hall of Fame Inductee Terrell Owens on the cover. Those who pick up this version of the game will also gain access on August 7, three days before other players.
