Yang Bing, the original creator of Lost Soul Aside, mentioned he wishes to launch his action RPG by the end of 2020, meaning it might get a release date announced in the next few months. Yang Bing mentioned so in a recent interview with Chinese game outlets, an interview which was summarized and translated by games analyst Daniel Ahmad.
In the same interview, Yang Bing also shared his wishes to expend the Lost Soul Aside IP beyond gaming. This could mean anything, including how the IP could get adaptations such as a manga or even an anime adaptation in the future. Yang Bing already mentioned in the past he’d also like to make sequels and other games linked to Lost Soul Aside.
Yang Bing started working on Lost Soul Aside all by himself after being inspired by games such as the Ninja Gaiden series and Final Fantasy XV. The first trailer of the game he launched back in 2016 buzzed as everyone was astonished by how amazing it looked. Later on, Yang Bing decided to work with Sony through China Hero Project and he’s currently making the game together with a whole team of experienced developers, gathered under the banner of Ultizero Games.
The last time we heard about Lost Soul Aside was in October 2019 with a new key visual. Lost Soul Aside‘s 2020 release date estimate means the game’s promotion might kick up a notch in the following months as well, and we should have many more occasions to see the game in action. We’ll be sure to tell you as soon as possible when we learn more and hear about its release date so stay tuned.
