Among the indie games expected to arrive in 2019, Killer Queen Black is among the most anticipated of the year thanks to its fast-paced multiplayer gameplay, and while the title is coming digitally for Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, the game will also be coming to stores when it debuts later this year.
Distributor Nighthawk Interactive announced that a physical release will be on the way for Killer Queen Black when the game arrives later this year, with the Switch version expected to arrive this summer, followed by the Xbox One version this coming fall.
The physical release for Killer Queen Black will be priced at $29.99 on both Switch and Xbox One, with pre-orders now open at retailers such as Amazon, GameStop, and Best Buy. In addition to containing a physical copy of the game itself, the retail editions of Killer Queen Black will also feature an exclusive controller skin for Nintendo Switch and Xbox One, respectively.
For those unfamiliar with the game, Killer Queen Black is a reimagined version of the arcade hit Killer Queen, which pits two teams of four players against one another in fast-paced multiplayer matches. Taking on roles as opposing teams of bees, such as worker bees and the Queen, players have a variety of different goals they can complete to try and (ultimately) beat the other team, whether that’s taking out the enemy Queen, collecting berries, or riding a snail to the victory finish line.
Killer Queen Black will release for Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC later this year. For a closer look, you can also check out the box art for both the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One physical editions below:
