During “This Week on Xbox” it seems Major Nelson might have accidentally announced the latest character who’ll be joining the roster in Dragon Ball FighterZ. Janember, from Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn will be the last character in the game’s second season of characters. Bandai Namco has not officially confirmed Janemba but interestingly enough, the official Xbox Twitter account has played along with what Nelson said during the stream, further confirming that the character is indeed coming.
While Janemba’s appearance in the Dragon Ball series is brief, he’s sure to have some pretty flashy super moves at his disposal. The character is closer to Kid Buu in that he’s really just obsessed with destroying and doesn’t talk at all. If you’ve seen Fusion Reborn, you know that Janemba didn’t stand a chance once Goku and Vegeta fused into Gogeta during the last few minutes of the film.
Earlier this week, Kid Goku (GT) was added into Dragon Ball FighterZ. Bandai Namco released a very nostalgic trailer for Goku Day showcasing every Goku from Arc System Works’ fighting game. Additionally, while Janemba is technically the last mystery fighter in the game’s second season of content, two more characters will be released after him.
Both Gogeta and Broly will be making their debut as the final two fighters coming this year. They’ll both be based on their Dragon Ball Super: Broly appearances. We’ll likely learn more about them closer to the end of 2019.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is available now on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
