The sudden cancellation of pre-orders on Amazon led many to wonder whether the upcoming game for Xbox One and Windows 10 Crackdown 3 was canceled.
Turns out it isn’t. Microsoft Studios Creative Director Adam Isgreen confirmed that the game is still in active development on Twitter.
Adam sees crazy rumor that Crackdown 3 is cancelled due to an amazon preorder glitch, thinks “Huh, that’s interesting”… as he turns to his dev kit and boots the latest build of Crackdown 3…
(hint: not cancelled)

We also get word from Xbox Games Marketing General Manager Aaron Greenberg who also mentioned that the cancellation of pre-orders was simply a technical issue which affected Amazon’s systems.
The team continues to work hard on the game for our fans, you should contact Amazon directly for any questions related to orders with them.

Team also confirmed this was due to a technical issue on Amazon side and is being addressed. Hope that helps!

So there you have it, straight from the lion’s mouth: Crackdown 3 is still coming, despite the fact that we haven’t heard much about it for a while. While we don’t know when precisely it’ll come following its delay to this spring, we do know that Xbox Game Pass users will be able to enjoy the game at no additional purchase.
If you’re not afraid of Amazon’s issues, you can go back and pre-order it (again?).
