Over the last few years, Annapurna Interactive has consistently pushed out high-quality, diverse indie games. From What Remains of Edith Finch to Florence to Outer Wilds, the team has proven to have an eye for artful, story-driven games. Their next publishing effort is Dreamfeel’s If Found, a gorgeous interactive visual novel. Today, the publisher revealed the launch date for the upcoming title. It might be sooner than you think. Check out the reveal trailer below.

As mentioned above, If Found is a visual novel that’s all about “searching for connection”. The game is set in Ireland during December 1993. You play as a young girl named Kasio who’s returned home after time away. Her tale takes an interstellar turn when a black hole that is set to engulf the world shows up. It sounds like quite the trip and I can’t wait to see what other twists the story takes along the way.
Of course, the big talking point is the hand-drawn visuals. Annapurna Interactive seems to gravitate toward more unique-looking games like If Found and I’m personally all about it. I’m also hopeful that the soothing music from the trailer is a theme throughout the entire game. That’s a soundtrack I could certainly use these days.
If Found launches on iOS and PC May 19. It’s shaping up to be another great year for Annapurna Interactive. In addition to this game, they also just released the last act of Kentucky Route Zero and have 12 Minutes and I Am Dead on the table for later in 2020. Here’s hoping all of those games are able to make their launch dates.
