Hunt: Showdown’s Major Update Adds New Features and Significant Changes to Gameplay

Crytek’s first-person shooter title Hunt: Showdown has received its first major update and includes addresses a substantial amount of changes and bug fixes, adds new equipment and gameplay features. Oh yeah, and it offers players $4000 of in-game money as a way to apologize to players for all the technical problems that plagued the game in the past.

Some noteworthy changes delivered into the game includes five new variants for sniper weapons ranging from long, medium, and short-range scopes, eleven new outfits and twelve additional and unique traits, some modifications to the in-game map, tweaks to inventory slots as well as an updated Bloodline progression screen.

However, the biggest takeaway from this new update is how the developers are aiming to cut back on camping. According to the developer, a majority of players have complained that a substantial amount of campers found in-game. Although campers will not be severely punished, the developer has noted that the new update should make it so that the game is a bit more balanced.

Hunt: Showdown is a competitive first-person multiplayer shooter and serves as a spiritual successor to Darksiders. Set in the darkest corners of the universe, Hunt: Showdownintertwines a match-based format with the thrill of survival games by merging PvP and PvE elements along with match-based gameplay to provide a distinctive (albeit tense) experience for players.
