If you only focus on the main story quests in the game, you will have a journey that takes you a few hours less than 40 to complete. On the other hand, if you enjoy playing side quests as well, you can expect up to 45 hours of content.
For players who wouldn’t want to miss any achievement or quest, the game could even last for over 50 hours. Also, it depends on your playstyle as well. How many times you die, or how much you spend exploring the locations could extend the gameplay time of the game.
Currently, the next big entry from The Legend of Zelda series is the sequel to Breath of the Wild that will be available in 2022. The latest trailer from the game was aired during a Nintendo Direct at E3 2021.
