Koei Tecmo and SNK are celebrating together the launch on Steam of The King of Fighter XIV and 8 million downloads for Dead or Alive 5: Last Round.
An interesting effect of the Japanese culture of respect even among rivals, is that local developers love their crossovers, they’re offering as a gift to their fans two wallpapers where the two universes collide, one with Kasumi and Mai Shiranui, and the other with Marie Rose and Kula Diamond.
They’re also giving away 20 packages with steam keys for both games on Twitter, but this is just for Japan.
This is certainly not the first time in which the two franchises cross over. Mai Shiranui has actually been made playable in Dead or Alive 5: Last Round since last September, alongside a batch of The King of Fighters costumes.
