While the original Guacamelee! initially launched on only the PS3 and PS Vita, it soon came to a wide variety of other consoles in the months after its release, including PC. Fortunately, PC players won’t have to wait with Guacamelee! 2, as developer Drinkbox Studios announced today that the game would also be available for purchase on PC at launch.
Guacamelee! 2 was initially revealed for PS4 last year at Paris Games Week, with only a little having been heard about it since . Like the first, Guacamelee! 2 is a multiplayer Metroidvania platformer. Alongside some slight redesigns, tweaks, and new enemies and environments, Guacamelee! 2 also builds on the original gameplay wise by a new Eagle Boost grapple mechanic and a several new moves for players in the Chicken form.
For those of you thinking about picking it up on PC, you can check out the minimum system requirements below:

- Memory: 1 GB RAM
- Graphics: Shader Model 5.0, 1 GB VRAM

2018 also marks the 10-year anniversary of developer Drinkbox Studios, so studio Co-Founder Graham Smith commented on the PC release and current Steam sale going on:
“We’re thrilled to announced that Guacamelee! 2 will be coming soon to a Steam Store near you! Drinkbox Studios is also about to turn 10 years old! In celebration of our anniversary and this new announcement, we’ve decided to put the entire Drinkbox Steam catalog on sale at 90% off.”
