With its colorful visuals, wacky humor, and eclectic Metroidvania gameplay, DrinkBox Studios’ long-awaited sequel Guacamelee! 2 delivered another memorable adventure for everyone’s favorite luchador Juan, and now Xbox One owners will get their chance to experience the game in just a few weeks.
Developer DrinkBox Studios has announced that Guacamelee! 2 will release for Xbox One owners on January 18, 2019, marking the most recent platform release for the game after it debuted on Nintendo Switch in December.
The Xbox One release for the game will include both its “Three Enemigos” and “Proving Grounds” DLC packs and ahead of the game’s launch later this month, those that pre-order the game now on the Xbox Marketplace will get a 20% discount on the title.
DrinkBox also detailed that Guacamelee! 2 will support Xbox Play Anywhere, which will allow purchasers to play the game on both Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs. The title will also support cross-save features, allowing players to carry over their saves and progress between both platforms.
