As one of the PS4’s most anticipated titles for the year, many gamers will be looking forward to the next chapter for Kratos in the upcoming God of War, and now the game is one step closer to release, according to its director.
God of War director Cory Barlog announced via Twitter that the highly-anticipated PS4 game has “gone gold” ahead of its upcoming release on April 20th, 2018. For those unfamiliar with the term, this means that the game has completed development (in the form of a “gold master”) and will be primed and prepped for manufacturing and distribution for its release.
In his tweet, Barlog expressed his thanks for “every wonderful human who worked so hard to make this happen,” alongside a photo of the team at Sony Santa Monica that had been working on the game for the past few years, which makes the game’s completion that much more satisfying to enjoy.
God of War will release exclusively for PS4 on April 20th, 2018.
