Genshin Impact’s Ayaka & Traveler’s Lore Explanation Makes Fans Emotional With One Of The Saddest Inazuma Story
Considering that Ayaka was a new character, we did get a character quest for the same. There have been a lot of theories revolving around Ayaka’s story quest, and this explanation does make a lot of sense and is probably one of the saddest Inazuma stories.
This explanation comes from Reddit user u/Ecthelien, who states that he got it after browsing through Chinese forums. Ayaka does have some feelings towards the Traveler, and that has been quite evident in the game. However, it is emphasized that during the Prayer Plaques scene, the Traveler is only thinking about reuniting with their sibling which makes Ayaka believe that they are not meant to be together.
There is the famous farewell dance after that, with Ayaka asking the Traveler to keep their eyes on her so the Traveler remembers her when it goes on the journey to reunite with the sibling. The scene ends with Ayaka stating that “I can see myself the rest of the way back.”
The post states that the scene seems like a date, but it is just a sad story that showcases Ayaka’s feelings for the Traveler. Fans have been quite emotional after reading this explanation, with many asking for an option to replay the entire scene. There have been many such melancholic stories in the game, but this one seems to hit a different nerve altogether.
