Genshin Impact‘s anniversary is closing in and the community is all excited to know more about what miHoYo has to offer to celebrate the first anniversary of its hit RPG. Launched back in 2020, the game has grown several folds over the months, skyrocketing to over 40 million players.
The 1.6 Update managed to receive a lot of acclamation from fans and critics, and miHoYo is all set to drop the next major update. Instead of 1.7, the update will be known as the 2.0 Update.

The 2.0 Update is all set to be one of the biggest updates in the franchise’s history. Ranging from an all-new region, Inazuma, to a load of new characters such as Ayaka, Yoimiya, and Sayu, fans are eagerly looking forward to the update to drop.
miHoYo has announced the live stream as well, and it will be taking place on June 9th. We should be learning more about the upcoming update at that event.
Genshin Impact Anniversary Leak Reveals Keqing Story Quest
Amidst all that, the hype for the anniversary event is also rising. A new leak from Genshin Report suggests that Keqing will be playing a role during the anniversary event. However, that isn’t going to be quite massive.
Quite notable of all is the fact that she will be getting a story quest in the game. This is something that fans had been waiting for for quite a while now.
Apart from that, it has also been mentioned that from the 2021 Anniversary onward, both Lumine and Aether will get equal representation as protagonists in the game. Genshin Report mentions that “There was an imbalance during year one, which mostly featured Aether as the hero and Lumine as the villain”, and that is all set to change very soon.
