miHoYo held on April 16 the Genshin Impact 1.5 livestream, officially revealing the update titled Beneath The Light of Jadeite, with many details previously leaked, including the Zhongli banner rerun, Yanfei, Eula and her banner, the housing system official called Homeworld, the Dead by Daylight like event, and several new updates, with a new Inazuma teaser – we detailed everything below.

Genshin Impact 1.5 Beneath The Light of Jadeite trailer
Genshin Impact 1.5 Beneath The Light of Jadeite will be launching on April 27 ET / April 28 GMT.
The trailer heavily focuses on new weekly boss Azhdaha, and reveals it’s the god that Jiu is worshiping, which was sealed by Zhongli in the past. We also get to see Eula, Yanfei, and all the new events.

Similarly with all Liyue Harbor characters, her name is pronounced differently in Japanese: Enhi.
Eula is the 5* character, the Spindrift Knight and Captain of the Knights of Favonius Reconnaissance Company. She uses Claymore weapons and a Cryo Vision. Dealing AoE damage, and increasing her resistance to interruption with her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst.
Meanwhile, Yanfei is a four-star Pyro-using Catalyst wielder. Born in Liyue during peacetime, Yanfei is a young half-human, half-illuminated-beast who dedicates her life to studying, interpreting, and advising her clients on Liyue’s laws. She’s the second playable half illuminated beast character following Ganyu.
The Zhongli banner will be coming first, on April 28. Yanfei will be one of the 4* characters with a drop rate boost on the Zhongli banner. The Eula banner will come second, and should start 3 weeks after Zhongli’s.
Zhongli is the first character in Genshin to get the second part of his story quest. The first part of Eula’s story quest will also be added with her release.
New weapon, Song of Broken Pines, and Artifacts
Hangout Event story chapter 2 will be added for Noelle. Diona will get her first chapter.
Next, we have three new bosses coming in 1.5.
First is another Azhdaha trailer
Azdaha will be in a new Trounce Domain and is a new weekly boss. The “Lord of Vishaps” has fierce attacks, uses multiple elements, and can transform the battlefield terrain.
Azhdaha will still require 60 Original Resin to redeem its rewards.
Cryo cube
The Cryo Hypostasis will be a new World Boss found in Dragonspine. It’ll drop a new Character Ascencion material for Eula.

Homeworld (Housing) system official reveal
The Homeworld system is accessible after clearing its unlock quest:
The trailer uses Co-op to demonstrate effects. However, Housing won’t have co-op. At least not at launch. Moreover, you can only place characters you already own in Housing, and this feature will be added in 1.6. The interactive feature for the Serenitea Pot System in Single Player is still in development.
Your home is accessible through the Serenitea Pot, created by Liyue’s adepti. We’ll be able to build and decaore as we wish. Different types of houses and realm styles will be available.
Genshin Impact 1.5 new events
We have the Energy amplifier, Misty Dungeon, Mimi Tomo, and Windtrace events. An event will also make Talent Book Domains give out double the amount of rewards for a limited time.
Gameplay of the events:
Note that the press release states that the amount of Original Resin required for redeeming the rewards of weekly bosses will only be halved to 30 for Stormterror, the wolf, and Childe. So Azhdaha will be at 60 Resin.
Starting 1.5, we will get double the amount of Companionship EXP in Co-Op Mode.
The end of the stream featured six concept artwork for Inazuma. The last one most notably shows the Inazuma Castle Tenshu in Inazuma City, which should be the residence of Electron Archon Baal, the Raiden Shogun.
A new character was also teased in SD, but it’s definitely not Baal herself seeing the lore we know so far. Moreover, according to several fan translations of the Chinese stream, Zhongli called her a “fox”, and she’s a friend of Zhongli and Baal.

Genshin Impact is available on PS4, PC, and mobile. A native PS5 version is coming with the release of 1.5 on April 28. A Switch version was announced but with no release date.
