Somehow, it’s already almost March which means it’s about time we learned what Microsoft has in store for its Games With Gold lineup next month.
Today, the slate of four games that will be hitting the service were revealed. On the Xbox One front in March, Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion will be available for the entirety of the month until the 31st. The second Xbox One title, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 will be arriving on March 16 and will be available to download for free until April 15. This comes just weeks after EA announced a new Plants vs. Zombies game would be arriving this year, with Garden Warfare 3 seeming likely.
As for the older titles in March, they’re both pretty great classics. First off is the shooter Star Wars Republic Commando, which will be available from March 1 through the 15th. I haven’t thought about Republic Commando in years, but it’s definitely one of the best Star Wars games from the original Xbox years. Joining Republic Commando is that of the Xbox 360 action title Metal Gear Rising which you can snag from March 16-31. If you haven’t played this one but you consider yourself a fan of Metal Gear, do yourself a favor and be sure to pick it up next month.
All in all, it’s a solid month even though the Xbox One titles leave something to be desired. Still, the original Xbox and Xbox 360 offerings this month are both pretty great. Be sure to snag those for yourself.
