A Nintendo Switch version of Freedom Planet was first teased by GalaxyTrial and XSEED back in January. Now, almost two months after this version of the game appeared at E3, the developers have announced that Freedom Planet will finally be available for Nintendo Switch on August 30.
According to the developers, the game is already available for pre-order on the North American Nintendo eShop for $14.99, and will be available on the European one in the coming days. This version of Freedom Planet will also feature German, French, Spanish, Japanese, and Korean language support.
For those of you who aren’t aware, Freedom Planet is a Sonic the Hedgehog inspired 2D platformer that has players fighting to defend the planet of Avalice. Freedom Planet features three different playable characters, and each one of them can fight enemies and traverse the environments in different ways, as showcased in a new gameplay trailer.
