While my socials have been eerily quiet on talk of Forza Horizon 4, it seems that the game is still doing amazingly well. Earlier today Forza Motorsport’s Twitter account congratulated Playground Games on hitting a milestone in the player department.
It’s been one month since the Fortune Island DLC for Forza Horizon 4 launched in December 2019, and according to the below Tweet from the official Forza Motorsport Twitter account, over 7 million players have jumped onto the title from launch.
What a start to 2019! One month after the launch of the Fortune Island expansion, we’re celebrating the more than 7 million people who have played @WeArePlayground #ForzaHorizon4 since launch. Thank you, Forza fans! pic.twitter.com/ZDPkqpxp7N

The racing title has done well for itself since launching in October 2019, and after only one week the game had exceeded 2 million players. This was no doubt helped by the title also launching onto Xbox Games Pass as we’ve seen with State of Decay 2 —which also launched on Xbox Games Pass— hitting over 2 million players in less than two weeks.
If you’ve not heard the revving of engines and unsure what Forza Horizon 4 is, it’s an open-world racing title set to the backdrop of Great Britain. Players can race around roads and fields in classic vehicles, supercars, hypercars, and take part in races around the world. Other players race around you in an almost MMO style. You can read our review here.
Additionally, the Fortune Island expansion marked the biggest expansion that Playground Games has done for a Forza Horizon series and invites players to drive over some of the toughest terrain possible. So if going up mountains in a Jeep is your thing, go for it, or maybe take a chance and try getting a Lamborghini over some ravines.
Forza Horizon 4 is available on PC and Xbox One as an Xbox Play Anywhere title, allowing you to play on the Xbox and then continue playing your saved progress on a PC, or the opposite.
