Today Koei Tecmo released a large batch of fetching screenshots from the Nintendo Switch version of the upcoming Musou-style game Fire Emblem Warriors.
This time around, we focus about four characters from Fire Emblem Fates, everyone’s favorite waifu Camilla, Takumi, Leo and Hinoka.
We also see more of the features of the game. You can select a character as your companion of a pair, and they will act as your rear guard. A gauge will also fill during the following battles, and when it’s full, you can perform a co-op attack. If the rear guard character has a weapon compatible with the enemy, they will also be stunned.
A second gauge is the “dual guard gauge.” When fulled up, it can completely nullify enemy attacks. When the gauges of both combatants are full, you can execute a “dual mystery” that is even more powerful.
Last, but not least, we learn about magic attacks, that can be performed by characters that can equip a book, and that are effective against units with low magic resistance, like armored knights.
You can enjoy the screenshots below. If you want to see more of the Nintendo Switch version of the game, you can also watch a new trailer, another recent trailer showing Cordelia in action, one showing Robin and her magic, a video showing the bond system, which was also showcased with screenshots. Just yesterday, we also got some spiffy gameplay showing more or less the same characters in action.
You should also not forget to read our hands-on preview from E3 2017.
The game will will launch on Nintendo Switch and on the 3DS family of systems on September 28th in Japan, on October 20th in Europe, and in a yet unknown day of the fall in North America.
