Square Enix published a plethrora of new screenshots for Final Fantasy VII Remake, detailing the Wall Market and its various locations. We’ve got profiles and artwork as well, detailing Tseng, Don Corneo, and new characters. Only a Japanese press release is available for now, and the official English Twitter account for the game is sporadically sharing the details. However, we’re here to translate everything, right now. First off are the various character profiles, with screenshots and artworks:
Tseng, voiced by Junichi Suwabe.
Tseng is the calm leader of the Turks, the special investigative unit who does a bunch of shady jobs for the Shinra Electric Power Company. He stays cold-blooded in any situation as he gives out his orders to Reno, Rude, and the others. He knows Aerith for a long while, and has been keeping an eye on her movements since when she moved to Midgar’s slums.
Don Corneo, voiced by Yōhei Tadano.
Don Corneo is the de facto ruler of Wall Market. He’s a pervert who regularly holds “Mrs. Corneo” auditions to select women who will accompany him for the night. Don’t let his sleazy appearance and demeanor fool you. Don Corneo is witty enough to manipulate all the other thugs in the city, skillfully use the carrot and stick on his subordinates, and stand at the top of the underworld society.
Aniyan Kunyan, voiced by Tomokazu Sugita.
A dancer and the owner of Honey Bee Inn, located in Wall Market. One of the main figures of the entertainment district, and one of the proxies for the “Mrs. Corneo” Auditions. Each night, Aniyan Kunyan steps up on the Honey Bee Inn’s gorgeous stage to deliver the finest form of entertainment, pursuing supreme beauty both in the mind and body.
Leslie Kyle, voiced by Tasuku Hatanaka.
Leslie Kyle is one of Don Corneo’s closest subordinates, helping him rule Wall Market. Despite his young age, he has great negotiation skills and never shows his emotions. His cold gaze seems to indicate as if he lost everything in the past.
Madam M, voiced by Yuka Komatsu.
Madam M is the owner of a massage parlor in Wall Market. She’s is one of the proxies for the “Mrs. Corneo” Audition. She does her job with pride and expects the same values from her customers. She also never misses a chance for profit.
Chocobo Sam, voiced by Masashi Sugawara.
Sam is the owner of a Chocobo shed in Wall Market. He’s one of the proxies for the “Mrs. Corneo” Auditions. Sam is also an expert when it comes to sightseeing. Moreover, he recently launched the highly successful “Sam’s Delivery” service, a delivery service using chocobos-pulled carts. Lastly, he’s a Compulsive Gambler, seeking thrill at all times.
Next, we have screenshots and information on the Wall Market in Final Fantasy VII Remake and its various locations:
Wall Market
Wall Market is the biggest red-light district in Midgar, created where the Sixth Plate fell. Shinra has no authority there, and the place is instead controlled by Don Corneo. Encompassed in walls, it’s a lawless zone full of dangers, and yet many venture there every night, in search of pleasure unobtainable anywhere else.
Corneo Colosseum
An underground arena in Wall Market. Every night, intense battles take place in this coliseum. There are no rules, and humans aren’t the only participants. You can challenge the coliseum and win rewards.
Honey Bee Inn
An high-class nightclub in Wall Market. It has a gorgeous stage where each night, Bee Girls and Bee Boys perform a glamorous dance show. Moreover, there are multiple private rooms, each with various specific tastes, where customers can play with the girl or boy who caught their attention during the show. The establishment’s slogan is “melting, sweet nights await you”.
Aerith and Tifa dressed up in order to infiltrate Corneo’s mansion through the “Mrs. Corneo” Audition. Cloud unavoidably ends up crossdressing, with the same objective. There are several types of costumes for each one of them.
Beginner’s Hall
In the Beginner’s Hall, you can learn how to upgrade your weapons. There’s a weapon store on the first floor, and the second floor is one of Avalanche’s hangouts.
That’s all.
Tetsuya Nomura recently revealed many new details on FF7R, including how the game went gold, and how Compilation of Final Fantasy VII characters don’t appear in the game. Square Enix also published a new video on the game’s development.
