Square Enix revealed a brand new visual for Red XIII in Final Fantasy VII Remake. As a reminder, we saw him for the first time back in the latest trailer.

人の言葉を操る獣。
赤毛に覆われたしなやかな肉体に、鋭い爪と牙、燃え盛る尾を持つ。

Coming from the Final Fantasy VII Remake Japanese official twitter, a short profile for Red XIII is bound with the visual. Here’s our translation: “Red XIII. A beast that can speak human language. It has a flexible body covered in red fur, sharp claws and fangs, and a burning tail. It’s currently held captive in Dr. Hojo’s facility and is used as a research sample. “Red XIII” is a model number and not its real name.”
In Final Fantasy VII Remake, Red XIII is voiced in Japanese by Kappei Yamaguchi. According to VG247, Red XIII joins the party as an AI-controlled guest character and won’t be playable.
Tetsuya Nomura recently revealed many new details on the remake, including how Cloud can try out different crossdressing outfits, how the game went gold, and how Compilation of Final Fantasy VII characters don’t appear in the game, though some elements from it are mentioned.
Final Fantasy VII Remake launches on April 10, 2020. A demo is currently available. If you like our coverage and wish to support us, you can preorder FF7R via Amazon here.
