We are less than three months away from the release of Final Fantasy VII Remake, and after a trailer at The Game Awards, anticipation is at an all time high. To tide fans over until the remake’s release, the game’s Twitter account will occasionally unveil some art featuring areas or scenarios from the original game. Today, it did so with an iconic Tifa Lockheart scene that we haven’t really seen a glimpse of before now.
Of course, I’m talking the part of the game where Cloud makes a promise to always protect Tifa under the moonlight. In this art, we see her reflecting on that promise. It is a very nice scene in the original and will probably wind up being a tearjerker in Final Fantasy VII Remake, especially when its significance comes back into play. While you can already see this new image above, here is the official Tweet revealing this scene:
We’re pleased to share more recreated artwork from the original #FinalFantasy VII in anticipation of #FF7R!
Here we have Tifa reminiscing about her childhood in Nibelheim, perhaps recalling promises made under the moonlight. pic.twitter.com/8BIKUaKcKi

If you want to see other art from the upcoming game, be sure to check out official wallpaper featuring Cloud as well as the Shinra building. If you’re more keen to focus on Tifa, the trailer she was revealed in and some screenshots featuring her may be more up your alley. If you just want to know how the remake plays, you should read both of our previews from E3 2018.
Final Fantasy VII Remake will release for PS4 on March 3, 2020, and can be pre-ordered on Amazon. You can check out the scene from the original where Cloud makes that promise to Tifa below:
